Corgarff Castle photographs
This is a picture of Corgaff Castle, situated near Aviemore at the Head of Strathdon, Scotland
The photograph shows Corgarff Castle as a 16th century tower house converted by building a star shaped curtain wall after the Battle of Culloden, to a barracks for Hanoveriean government troops.
Later use was for over 50 men to police whisky smuggling in Strathdon.
