This is a picture looking up at the Cairngorm Mountain range in the North of Scotland
The picture is taken from Aviemore Train Station and shows the mountains in all their glory. The Cairngorms are host not only to Scotland's premier ski resort, but also to the largest area of land above 1000 meters in the British Isles. It is one of only two national Parks in Scotland (at time of writing) and the interior of the range is dominated by the mass of Ben Macdui, at 1309m / 4296ft, the second highest mountain in Scotland.
This is part of a collection of Scottish photographs which show the variety of landscapes and natural features which make up the country of scotland. On the site, there are further pictures which show such diverse topics as scottish castles to images of industrial landscapes. Whatever you are looking for in terms of pictures images or photographs of scotland then hopefully you will find it here
