Brodick Castle gardens photographs
This is a picture of Brodick Castle gardens on the Island of Arran which lies just off the West Coast of Scotland
Brodick Castle is famous for its woodland garden, begun in 1923 by the Duchess and now plays host to an internationally acclaimed rhododendron collection. The walled garden (which the picture shows one of the entrances) dates from 1710 and has been restored as an Edwardian garden.
In addition to "the plants" the park is big enough to encompass waymarked trails, woodlands, waterfalls, gorges, wildlife ponds, a nature room and wildlife garden.
